Based approximately 2 miles from Wrexham Glyndŵr University, in the village of Gresford is the purpose-built Colliers Park training ground facility.
Originally built in 1997 for a cost of £750,000, it is widely regarded in British football to be one of the best training grounds outside of the Football League.
Along with Wrexham FC and North Wales Crusaders Rugby League, Barcelona, Rangers and the Welsh National Football and Rugby League teams have all used it for training purposes.
The complex includes a number of grass pitches and a state-of-the-art third generation, or 3G, synthetic turf pitch, possessing a realistic natural grass look.
The facilities are used for University sport as well as improving academic opportunities for students on a number of courses at Wrexham Glyndŵr University.
